C’mon Sri Lanka

India does it…so does Bangladesh…Pakistan does it too, and quite spectacularly at times I might add. C’mon…don’t spoil the subcontinental brotherhood. Self destruct, wouldja??

  1. LOL ! Is this an Indian ‘ way’ of trying to be the best in the world :-) Asking or rather praying for collapses. I thought the Indian team was better than this. Ah well, I guess when you lose to what was effectively an Australian B team, anything and everything goes eh ;)

Aww..no, no TG…this is me being gracious and giving SL a chance to say they lost the match/series, India didn’t win it..and sure, anything and everything goes for an Indian win…so long as it is within the rules and limits of decency…nudge, nudge, wink, wink ;)

Don’t you think after the last two days, it might not be such a bad idea to actually ‘ stretch the rules and limits of decency’ close to breaking point ? There is a reason why Aus dominated cricket for the best part of decade and more ;)

What matters in the end ? Win/loss ratios, trophies in cabinet and being rated as one of the best ever. At this rate, India aren’t achieving any of them :-)

You can keep nudging and winking at me, while I’ll just point out each Aus win – which might be a lot :-)

Good luck to India for this test – by all accounts they should ‘ save’ this test, but….. It’s of course India – you just can’t tell can you !!!!

Of course win/loss ratios and trophies in the cabinet are very important…but not if I lose respect for my team in the bargain..if India can pull off wins by playing good cricket I am all for it…if they are not good enough, that is fine too..i’ve had enough practise of dealing with that as well :)

As far as this test goes…it doesn’t look good…this inexplicable defensive mindset is gonna cost us bad…whether while bowling or when we come out to bat…you are more confident than I am if you think India should save this test by all accounts..I’m not so sure…

Just wondering though, do India ‘ play’ in a certain way depending on the opposition ! Against Aus it’s all aggressive and macho. Now they are playing SL and they are nice and well behaved – at least don’t hear or read any macho behaviour. What gives !

I thought India had changed under MSD – well they did for a short while I guess. It’s akin to a pauper in King’s clothes !

Aw where is the positive energy ? Here I am an aussie fan, having more ‘ faith’ in the Indian team to save this test. Positive thinking miss, always think positive. That’s something ingrained in the Aus team, and thereby it’s supporters :-) No situation or game is over till it is well and truly over !

Yes sir…positive thinking for Aussie supporters…have I mentioned already that I hate the whole it-aint-over-till-it-is situation about the Aussies ;)

That’s interesting…someone said the same thing at JRod’s as well in the comments..was that you in disguise?? yeah, i guess they show it more when it’s the Aussies..aggression isn’t just about glaring at the batsman/bowler, sledging and that sort of stuff…it’s more to do with your game…and as far as that goes, they need to put in the extra work for Aus as well, not in the least becasue of the aforementioned, pain in the ass, aussie quality, but also because they must hate to lose to them (and Pak) more than the other teams :)

LOL, you hate the whole it ain’t over till it is situation that the Aussies display !!!!! Youv’e got to be kidding me – the ONLY reason teams like Aus in cricket, and Man Utd in football have been successful is BECAUSE of that very attitude :-)

And wasn’t I right about India saving this test and doing it easily ! The worse bit though is going to be all hosannas for SRT’s 30K milestone. The rest of the test will be forgotten – not that it had much to remember about anyway !!

Btw when I comment on any site, it’s always as TG. Don’t see the need for disguise, isn’t being online a disguise in itself ;)

yup…i hate it because my team is at the receiving end of that attitude at times ;)

and yes…not a very memorable test for sure…SRT can have his day in the sun again with all those runs while Dravid’s 11k go almost unnoticed…but hey..i’m used to that too ;)
